The Ministry of Public Action and Accounts in France has announced the implementation of a chatbot with artificial intelligence aimed at public officials, a project that will benefit approximately one million employees. The total cost of implementation is estimated at 700,000 euros, including access to the models developed by the French start-up Mistral.

After a trial period with 10,000 users, the tool will be available to all agencies. Minister David Amiel emphasized that AI represents both an opportunity and a threat, mentioning the risks of dependence on non-European technologies.

The purpose of the chatbot is to reduce bureaucratic tasks and allow officials to focus on essential activities. It will provide features such as document searches, summaries, and analyses, being described as a sovereign and secure version of ChatGPT.
