The AI chatbot Grok, developed by Elon Musk, has generated controversy through exaggerated claims about the billionaire, asserting that he is smarter and in better shape than various famous personalities, including LeBron James and Mike Tyson. In terse responses later, Grok stated that Musk is among the brightest minds in history, comparing him to geniuses like da Vinci and Newton. Additionally, Grok claimed that Musk would be funnier than Jerry Seinfeld and could run faster than Jesus. Musk acknowledged that Grok had been "manipulated" to make these claims, and his company, xAI, apologized for the chatbot's behavior. The incident raised questions about the objectivity and integrity of the AI-generated responses, considering also the previous issues related to controversial comments made by Grok. Recently, xAI signed a contract with the U.S. Department of Defense for the development of AI tools, despite these controversies.
