China warns that a swarm of humanoid robots is forming

During a press conference, the spokesperson of the National Commission for Development and Reform, Li Chao, stated that the humanoid robotics industry in China must find a balance between "growth speed and the risk of a bubble."

The warning represents a rare note of caution from Beijing for an industry it has declared vital for future economic growth. Earlier this year, China designated embedded intelligence — the technology behind humanoid robots — as a national priority.
