Alphabet has announced it will challenge a US federal court decision suggesting less aggressive remedies to restore competition in online search. Google believes the initial decision is wrong and is preparing to appeal. The court heard arguments related to Google's monopoly in search and advertising, and authorities are asking for the sale of Google's Ad Manager division and restricting payments to Apple to maintain its default search engine status.
