The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has published an open letter of over 1,800 words, in which he assesses the war situation from Ukraine's perspective and highlights Russia's failures. He mocks Putin's actions, mentioning the Ukrainian drone attacks on the forum in St. Petersburg, and states that internal support for the Russian leader is rapidly declining amid the dissatisfaction of Russian citizens with the effects of the war.

Zelensky emphasizes the economic difficulties facing Russia, including rising prices and fuel shortages, and warns that Putin will not have the necessary resources to maintain control over the population. He presents the significant losses of the Russian army, estimating that over 30,000 soldiers have been killed or wounded. In the end, Zelensky urges Putin not to hesitate to negotiate and proposes a direct meeting to discuss ending the conflict.

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiha, stated that this letter represents a serious proposal for peace, which will be conveyed through diplomatic channels.
