Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that peace negotiations with Russia are complicated, with divergences between the US, Russia, and Ukraine regarding territorial concessions. In an interview, he emphasized that the US peace plan requires further discussions on sensitive topics, such as security guarantees for Ukraine and control of eastern territories.
Zelensky mentioned that Ukraine is seeking a separate pact for security guarantees from allies, especially the US. In this context, he will meet with British, French, and German leaders to gain support. Additionally, Donald Trump criticized Zelensky's lack of readiness to sign the peace plan, stating that Russia might agree to it. Recent negotiations between American and Ukrainian officials have not yielded significant progress, and Zelensky stated that Ukraine is determined to collaborate in good faith to achieve real peace.
