Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that maintaining Ukraine's sovereignty and obtaining solid security guarantees are Kyiv's priorities in peace negotiations with Russia. He emphasized that "the territorial issue is the most difficult," as Russia demands Ukraine to give up territories in Donbas, which Kyiv refuses. This statement was made after a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and in the context of discussions with European leaders. Meanwhile, U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff is heading to Russia to meet with Vladimir Putin, considering the results of recent discussions. The White House expressed optimism regarding negotiations, although Zelensky was more reserved, noting that there are still difficult issues to resolve. Macron emphasized that any peace plan must involve the contribution of Ukraine and Europe, and European leaders want to be included in the negotiation process.
