The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has asked Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko to take concrete steps to de-escalate the conflict, according to Ukrainian media. Lukashenko recently urged both Moscow and Kyiv to put an end to the war, stating that a military victory is unrealistic. Although he apologized for previous harsh statements, Zelensky emphasized that simple apologies are not enough, demanding tangible actions.

He warned that Russia is trying to draw Belarus into the conflict, mentioning that there are Russian relay stations on Belarusian territory that threaten Ukraine. Zelensky insisted on the dismantling of these installations, stating that if Lukashenko does not stop them, Ukraine will act. This situation highlights the ongoing tensions in the region and the complexity of the relationships between Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia.
