Wizz Air has announced that it will suspend operations from Vienna until March 2026, motivated by the significant increase in airport costs and handling fees. The company will withdraw two aircraft and the routes to Bilbao and London Gatwick on October 26, 2025, and from March 2026, flights to Cluj Napoca, Suceava, and Sibiu will be canceled. Wizz Air will continue to provide services to Austrian customers through its base in Bratislava, which will launch 13 new routes, thus improving accessibility in the region.
