President Donald J. Trump has appointed William J. Pulte, director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) and president of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, as the interim director of the National Intelligence Services.
Pulte, a businessman with extensive experience in managing safety and market stability issues, will continue to exercise his previous functions, overseeing more than 10 trillion dollars. This appointment comes following Tulsi Gabbard's resignation.
Pulte is known as a close ally of the president and has been active in the business environment, founding Pulte Capital Partners. His tenure at FHFA has been characterized by an aggressive style, involving accusations of mortgage fraud against political rivals. He has also gained popularity on social media through philanthropic activities.
