The US, France, Germany and the UK have issued a joint statement calling for de-escalation in Syria.

The four countries called on all parties involved in the conflict in Syria to de-escalate the situation and protect civilians and infrastructure to avoid further displacement and disruption of humanitarian aid, while underlining the urgent need to find a political solution to the war in Syria.
