Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has invited his Swedish counterpart Ulf Kristersson to Hungary to discuss Swedish membership of NATO.

Orban has sent a letter to Kristersson to try to resolve differences that have delayed Hungary's ratification of Sweden's NATO membership. Budapest calls on Stockholm to stop its policy of 'denigration' and regular remarks against the Orban government, which is accused of authoritarian drift.
