United States announces withdrawal from UNESCO due to perceived anti-Israel bias, two years after reintegration.

The withdrawal will mark the third time the US has left Paris-based UNESCO. It comes after a return requested by the Biden administration, after President Trump previously withdrew the country during his first term. The withdrawal decision will become effective at the end of December 2026, according to The Associated Press.
