The US is planning to offer Boeing a plea of guilty to fraud in connection with the fatal crashes involving its 737 Max airliners.

The proposal also includes the appointment of an independent monitor to oversee the company's compliance with anti-fraud laws. Boeing has until the end of next week to accept or reject the offer.
