The 'novel activities supervision' program, launched in 2023 to oversee banks' activities in cryptocurrencies and fintech, will be abolished. The Fed has announced that it no longer deems the program necessary as it has improved its ability to manage the risks associated with new financial technologies. These duties will now be incorporated into the standard bank supervision process.
