Sixteen Democrats in the House of Representatives are asking former Prince Andrew to testify about his connections with Jeffrey Epstein, but the effort has little chance of success.

The letter sent by them emphasizes that Andrew had a close friendship with Epstein starting in 1999, continuing even after his conviction in 2008 for pimping involving minors. The commission believes that Andrew may possess essential information about Epstein's crimes and his accomplices and requests him to appear for a transcribed interview, with a response deadline until November 20, 2025.

However, the effort is considered to have low chances of success, given that democrats are in the minority and that foreigners cannot be compelled to respond to such requests from the U.S. Congress.
