Daniel Martindale, an American citizen who collaborated with Russian forces in Ukraine, was shown by Russian state television receiving Russian citizenship. Originally from New York, Martindale was expelled from Russia in 2019, but returned to Ukraine before the 2022 invasion, where he communicated information about Ukrainian military targets. The pro-Russian leader of Donetsk, Denis Pushilin, handed him his passport, emphasizing his contribution to the planning of Russian military operations.
