<p>The meeting took place in the context of the European Political Community summit in Hungary and was a rare and unusual meeting between the two leaders, given the historic conflict between Turkey and Cyprus. Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan was also present at the meeting, which was later extended to include the prime ministers of Greece and Albania.
