Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian experts in drone combat will arrive next week in the Middle East, with the aim of providing assistance in combating Iranian Shahed drones, which are also used by Russia in the war with Ukraine. Zelensky hopes that, in exchange for expertise, Ukraine will receive Patriot interceptor missiles from the USA or Gulf countries, although their availability has significantly decreased. He emphasized that in the first days of the conflict in the Middle East, more Patriot missiles were consumed than Ukraine received in four years of war. He also mentioned that the United States requested Ukraine's assistance, but this information has not been confirmed by other parties. Zelensky expressed concern that an extension of the conflict in the Middle East could diminish international attention and support for Ukraine, thus affecting the country's defense capability.
