During a visit to Berlin, Vladislav Vlasiuk, the special representative of the Ukrainian presidency for sanctions policy, urged the European Union not to be afraid and to take physical action against the phantom fleet used by Russia for oil exports. He emphasized that the volume of oil transported by this fleet has remained constant, significantly contributing to the financing of the Russian war effort. Vlasiuk appreciated the recent actions of the United States in confiscating oil tankers linked to Russia and called for similar actions from European countries. He also mentioned the need to address the issue of Western components found in Russian weaponry. In his speech, President Zelensky criticized European allies for their lack of firmness towards Moscow, highlighting an urgent need for political will in the face of the challenges posed by Putin.
