Ukraine will declare a state of emergency in the energy sector, announced President Volodymyr Zelensky, in the context of Russian attacks on critical infrastructure and unfavorable weather. Zelensky emphasized that the situation is serious and requires exceptional measures, with coordination between institutions. A permanent command will be established to manage the situation in Kyiv, and the measure will be extended to the entire energy sector.
The government will intensify discussions with international partners to obtain additional equipment and will simplify bureaucratic procedures for connecting backup equipment. Additionally, it will reevaluate nighttime traffic restrictions to facilitate public access to support points, and the network of 'Points of Invincibility' will be expanded. Authorities are awaiting proposals for conducting the educational process during the state of emergency.
