Kirilo Budanov, the chief presidential advisor of Ukraine, announced on Friday that technical discussions regarding the war with Russia are imminent, but emphasized that a quick agreement is not expected.
In an interview for the YouTube project "Moseichuk+", Budanov mentioned that the negotiations will address technical aspects and preparations for a possible agreement. The advisor also stated that it is unrealistic to expect the war to end soon.
Both parties have intensified attacks on infrastructure, and Russia is expected to resume its campaign against Ukraine's electrical grid as winter approaches. Budanov emphasized the need for Ukraine and Russia to simultaneously take a step towards reconciliation, while Russia insists on Ukraine's withdrawal from Donbas, a territory that Kiev refuses to cede.
