The European Commission has announced that 14 member states have committed to resettle and admit more than 60,000 refugees over the next two years.

Speaking at the Global Refugee Forum in Geneva, European Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson, said that 31,000 refugees will be resettled through UNHCR resettlement programs. She stressed that the EU currently hosts 20% of the world's refugees.
