Two South Korean skiers, Han Dasom and Lee Eui-jin, were disqualified from the Winter Olympics after their equipment tested positive for fluor, a type of wax banned by the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS). This wax, which provides a competitive advantage due to its water-repellent properties, has been banned starting with the 2023-24 season.

Although they were not medal favorites, the disqualification occurred in the context of broader allegations in Olympic skiing, including speculation about the use of hyaluronic acid to gain advantages.
