In the first quarter of 2024, Turkey recorded a 6% increase in international tourism receipts to $9.4 billion. The tourist season is booming, with a significant increase in interest in cultural and heritage tourism due to marketing and restoration efforts. Hotels in historic areas are almost fully booked, and Turkey aims to attract 65 million foreign tourists and revenues of $64 billion by 2025, with an increasing focus on cultural tourism.
