In an interview with Fox News after the Alaska summit with Putin, Trump said he would not impose new tariffs on China in the next two to three weeks, but could reverse his decision depending on the progress of peace talks in Ukraine. He also warned Russia of possible sanctions and emphasized the need for a peace deal, citing his planned meeting with Ukrainian President Zelenski. Trump recently imposed additional tariffs on India, unhappy with its purchases of Russian oil.
