American President Donald Trump stated that discussions with Iran are "on a knife's edge," with the risk of transitioning from an agreement to end the war in the Middle East to a resumption of attacks.

In a statement made at Andrews military base in Maryland, Trump conveyed that, following Monday's announcement regarding the suspension of attacks to allow for negotiations, the situation remains uncertain. He emphasized that if the "right responses" are not obtained, actions can escalate quickly. Trump mentioned that an agreement with Iran could save "a lot of time, energy, and lives" and could be finalized in a few days. He also revealed that he was on the verge of ordering the resumption of attacks, but decided to postpone the action at the request of some Gulf states.
