The President of the USA, Donald Trump, may accept the recognition of Russia's control over Crimea and other occupied territories of Ukraine, according to sources cited by The Telegraph. This proposal will be presented to Vladimir Putin by the special envoy of the USA, Stephen Whitcoff, who will visit Moscow next week. Although this plan contradicts the traditional diplomatic practices of the USA, it seems that it will continue to advance, ignoring the objections of Ukraine and European countries.

Putin stated that the USA must recognize Russia's control over Crimea and excluded any concessions regarding Donbas. Trump's initial plan, which contained 28 points, has been reduced to 19, but the recognition of Russian control over Ukrainian territories remains included. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, wanted to discuss personally with Trump, but his proposal was ignored.
