A Turkish Air Force F-16 plane crashed in the west of the country. The pilot died on the spot.

A Turkish army F-16 fighter jet crashed after taking off from a base in Balikesir province. Contact with the aircraft was lost shortly after takeoff, and the wreckage was found on the ground. Unfortunately, the pilot died as a result of the incident, and Turkish authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.

This is not the first tragedy for the Turkish army, which suffered a loss in November when a C-130 military transport plane crashed in Georgia, killing all 20 military personnel on board. Additionally, F-16s have had other recent incidents in various corners of the world, including in Taiwan and Poland.
