A court in Orenburg, Russia, has sentenced three employees of the 'Pose' bar to prison for participating in activities of the 'international LGBT community', recently classified as extremist by Russian authorities. This is the first conviction of this kind after, in 2023, the Supreme Court of Russia banned the LGBT movement.

The bar owner, Viaceslav Hasanov, was sentenced to seven years in prison, while the artistic director, Aleksandr Klimov, received two years and three months, and the administrator, Diana Kamiliaonova, six years and three months. The court found that they organized events in solidarity with LGBT individuals. In recent years, Russia has intensified attacks on the LGBT community, conducting raids in gay clubs and bars and imposing penalties for LGBT symbols.
