Delcy Rodriguez emphasized that these resources will be used for the purchase of medical equipment. She also mentioned that communication channels have been established with American officials, including Donald Trump and Marco Rubio.

Despite the improvement of relations, Rodriguez insisted that Venezuela is not under the tutelage of the USA. Rubio warned her that she risks the same fate as Maduro if she does not comply with American demands. Additionally, the United States has appointed a new chargé d'affaires in Venezuela, which suggests a possible restoration of diplomatic relations.
