President Trump stated that exports of Boeing aircraft and parts could be controlled as part of a trade strategy against China, which has restricted exports of rare minerals. Although Boeing has significant orders from China, the financial impact of a ban on spare parts would be limited, considering that the share of orders from China has drastically decreased. China is developing its own aerospace industry, but American restrictions affect the production of the COMAC C919 model.
