The future of the flagship defense projects proposed by the European Union, including a counter-drone system initially called the 'anti-drone wall', is uncertain, as EU leaders do not intend to approve them at next week's summit. The European Commission proposed these projects as part of a roadmap for strengthening European defense by 2030, in the context of threats from Russia. However, influential states such as Germany, France, and Italy prefer to collaborate in coalitions for the development of defense capabilities, believing that major defense projects should be managed by member states and NATO.
