Mexico has reported at least 23 deaths following the torrential rains that began on Thursday, with the most affected states being Hidalgo, Puebla, Querétaro, and Veracruz.

The state of Hidalgo announced 16 victims and 1000 affected homes, while Puebla reported five deaths and 80,000 people affected by flooding. President Claudia Sheinbaum stated that the authorities are working to assist the population and restore essential services.
