The Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko announced the deployment of the Russian ballistic missile with nuclear capability, Oreshnik, in Belarus, starting Wednesday. The missile, which is now operational, was recently introduced into the Russian military arsenal and can reach all European capitals, including Madrid and London.
The deployment aims to exert pressure on European countries and NATO, as well as to protect the launcher from possible Ukrainian attacks. The Oreshnik missile, equipped with multiple warheads, was used for the first time in combat conditions last November, demonstrating a speed of over Mach 11.
The Kremlin stated that the use of this weapon is a warning to the West, in the context of Ukrainian attacks with American and British missiles.
