On Friday, in Berlin, the German Minister of Defense, Boris Pistorius, will host the 'Group of Five' meeting, which includes Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Poland, as well as the EU representative for foreign affairs, Kaja Kallas.
The discussions will focus on providing additional assistance to Ukraine, hybrid threats to European countries, and common measures to strengthen security and the defense industry in Europe. This meeting marks one year since the formation of the group, created in response to concerns about the disengagement of the United States in Europe, aiming to strengthen European security. Analysts believe that the group could herald a new European alliance in the field of defense.
