The Kremlin called on Friday for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to initiate immediate negotiations to prevent further territorial losses amid a Russian offensive. Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin's spokesperson, emphasized that the room for maneuver in Zelensky's decisions is shrinking as Ukraine loses territory. This statement came a day after a surprising proposal from the United States was published to exit the conflict with Russia. Peskov mentioned that Moscow has not received official details about the American proposal.
