
Hassan Rashad, the director of intelligence services in Egypt, made a visit to Israel, where he met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israeli officials. This meeting takes place in the context of diplomatic efforts to maintain the ceasefire in Gaza, an agreement that was mediated by American President Donald Trump. Rashad played an important role in the negotiations that led to this agreement, being praised by Trump during the summit in Sharm el-Sheikh.
The discussions between Rashad and Netanyahu focused on the necessary steps to advance Trump's plan for Gaza, strengthening relations between Israel and Egypt, as well as other regional issues. Rashad is also set to meet with American envoy Steve Witkoff, while American Vice President JD Vance is also in Israel to discuss security challenges and diplomatic opportunities.
