The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates announced that it will not allow the use of its airspace, territory, or territorial waters for hostile military actions against Iran, emphasizing the UAE's commitment to neutrality and regional stability. This statement comes in the context of uncertainty regarding possible military actions by the US in Iran, after President Donald Trump mentioned the deployment of an American "armada" in the Gulf.
At the same time, Trump warned Iran about the repression of internal protests and its nuclear program. The UAE hosts thousands of American troops at Al Dhafra airbase and has refused to provide logistical support for attacks, promoting instead dialogue and respect for international law as solutions to current crises. The UAE has also hosted a trilateral meeting between Russian, Ukrainian, and American negotiators, discussing the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine.
