At an informal summit, Kaja Kallas stated that the European Union is working to reach an agreement on the use of confiscated Russian assets, valued at 210 billion euros, to finance war reparations for Ukraine. While Ukraine and some member states, such as Poland and the Baltic countries, support the confiscation of these assets, France, Germany, and Belgium contest the legal basis of this measure, and other states are concerned about the impact on the European financial market.
