Todd Arrington, the director of the Eisenhower Presidential Library, resigned after a conflict with the Trump administration regarding the handing over of an original sword. Trump wanted to present the sword of King Charles during a visit to the United Kingdom, but Arrington refused, arguing that the artifact could not be relinquished. Subsequently, Trump offered a replica of the sword. Arrington stated that he was pressured to resign or be fired, but denied having made negative comments about Trump.
