The report "Connection Between Communities" produced by Vodafone highlights the impact of the digital divide on health, education, and trust in institutions. 44% of EU citizens lack basic digital skills, and 1 in 5 rural households does not have access to 5G. This divide could cost the EU 1.3 trillion euros by 2033. The report proposes four strategic directions to improve digital inclusion, skills development, the digitization of public services, and connectivity infrastructure.
