CIA Director John Ratcliffe warned the Trump administration that the American agency has doubts about Iran's true intentions in the context of the recently signed peace agreement between the US and Iran. Although Iranian officials make favorable public statements, information obtained by American intelligence suggests a chasm between the positions expressed publicly and those discussed privately. In the next 60 days, a detailed agreement is expected to be negotiated, but sources claim that current commitments are only provisional. While some members of Trump's team, such as Marco Rubio and Pete Hegseth, express skepticism, others, including J.D. Vance and Jared Kushner, support the agreement. The White House stated that the agreement will prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and will ensure the stability of global energy supplies. Negotiations will continue with Iranian officials and mediators from Qatar and Pakistan.
