Tesla has asked suppliers to exclude components made in China from the production of vehicles intended for the U.S. market, according to the Wall Street Journal. The electric vehicle manufacturer plans to completely phase out these components in the next two years, in the context of uncertainties generated by the trade war between the U.S. and China. In the last 24 months, Tesla has increased the proportion of components made in North America for its U.S. factories. Additionally, Tesla car sales produced in China recorded a 9.9% decrease in October, and sales of the Model 3 and Model Y from the Shanghai factory fell by 32.3% in the same month. This situation complicates the company's pricing strategy.
