Antonio Tajani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy, stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was unfair in his criticisms of Europe made during the World Economic Forum in Davos. Zelensky accused the community bloc of lacking political will in the face of Russian aggression, stating that there had been no significant progress since his last intervention in Davos.

Tajani emphasized that Europe has guaranteed Ukraine's independence and provided political, financial, and military support. Additionally, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, reaffirmed the European Union's commitment to supporting Ukraine from the very first day of the Russian invasion.
