Ukrainian citizen Anastasia Berezovskaia, aged 34, wanted by Interpol for involvement in a bombing attack in Monaco, was found dead near Kiev, and initial information suggests that she may have been killed by gunfire. Her body was discovered on Monday evening, and the Ukrainian press reported that two suspects have already been arrested, including an active officer of the Main Directorate of Intelligence.
The explosion in Monaco, which occurred on June 29, seriously injured three people, including Ukrainian oligarch Vadim Ermolaev, who is under sanctions in Ukraine. The investigation has been expanded, and authorities in Monaco suspect possible involvement of the SBU in the assassination attempt. Interpol has issued an international arrest warrant for Berezovskaia, suspected of planting the explosive device.
