During the four-day national gaokao exam, the authorities and large Chinese companies such as ByteDance and Tencent have implemented strict measures to prevent cheating. These include freezing artificial intelligence functions and temporarily restricting apps. In addition, the authorities are using biometric checks, signal blocking and video surveillance to detect abnormal behavior. Gaokao is considered a crucial moment in the lives of young Chinese, and extra measures have been taken to ensure the exam is conducted properly.
