Authorities have issued weather warnings for wind and rain, and gusts may pose a risk of injury from flying objects. In Northern Ireland, the Education Authority has announced the closure of schools in the counties of Antrim, Londonderry, Tyrone, and Fermanagh from noon, 'in the interest of safety.' The wind weather warning is in effect on Friday, between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM BST, in the western parts of Northern Ireland and later in Scotland, with gusts of 60-70mph expected inland and up to 80mph on exposed coasts. A yellow weather warning is in effect for Armagh and Down.
