Energy traders made significant transactions in oil on Monday morning, just minutes before U.S. President Donald Trump announced on his social media that he had "productive" negotiations with Iran.

Between 6:49 and 6:50, approximately 6,200 futures contracts for Brent and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) oil were traded, with a total estimated value of 580 million dollars. Shortly after Trump's post, oil prices dropped sharply, and investors adjusted their expectations regarding a conflict with Iran. Although the Iranian parliamentary leader denied the existence of negotiations, the markets reacted quickly, causing significant fluctuations.

Experts pointed out that these well-timed transactions raise questions about the possible financial benefits obtained before official announcements, bringing considerable profits but without clarity on the entities involved.
