To benefit from this status, applicants must have been on Spanish territory for at least five months and must have entered the country before December 31, 2025. Those who receive approval will be able to work legally in any sector and region of the country. Applications can be registered between April and June 30, 2026. This initiative aims to recognize the dignity of individuals already in Spain, providing them with guarantees, opportunities, and rights. The decision comes in response to a popular petition signed by over 600,000 people and supported by approximately 900 organizations.
